Our next course begins in 3 weeks:  Business and Investment Attraction (BIA) October 6 - November 9* online through the University of Calgary Register Here  All of our online Community Economic Development Training program (CEDTP) courses are open for registration; read our schedule of online CEDTP courses here and register. By successfully completing the courses in our CEDTP program, you qualify for points toward your Ec.D Certification.  You can also earn points toward the Professional Management Certificate - Economic Developers through the University of Calgary. *date has changed from September 22

Community Award Submission Summary

EDA is making it easy for you to submit your entry for the Community Awards of Excellence.

We have created a document that lists all the information you need to supply giving you the opportunity to prepare you submission ahead of time making the online application process more efficient.C

Community Award Information 

\Don't forget, the deadline to submit your entry is Monday, February 24 at 4:30 pm.

 Submit your entry for the Annual Awards Excellence 

This year we have made improvements to our program giving you an even better way to celebrate your accomplishments and to share your best practices.

Our most notable changes:

1. There is just one Alex Metcalfe Award; a "Best in Show" of all of the Community Award Winners. 

2. Be prepared to pitch! The awards committee will randomly choose 10 entries for a 5 minute presentation in front of your colleagues at the EDA Annual Conference in April. (You will be notified ahead of time and given the opportunity to rehearse)

3. People's Choice Award. With your entry please provide a digital representation of your initiative to be showcased on story boards at the Conference venue; your peers will have a chance to vote on it.
