This award recognizes an EDA member who demonstrates notable professional accomplishments to date with less than 5 years experience as an EDO, and serves to enhance Alberta’s economic development profession by celebrating new professionals and promoting future leaders. Any member in good standing may nominate one or more candidate(s) for consideration.
NOMINEE ELIGIBILITY
An individual with less than 5 years of experience as an EDO and is an EDA voting member in good standing and resides within Alberta.
CRITERIA
The following criteria are considered:
- Currently employed in the economic development profession in Alberta
- A detailed list of the Nominee’s professional achievements to date and promise for the future, including:
- Education and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Professional accomplishments
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Community involvement and/or volunteerism
- Future career goals and aspirations
- Commitment to the economic development profession
- Letter of recommendation from the Nominee’s current employer
PROCEDURE
To submit your nomination, please include the following:
- Online entry form
- Letter of nomination
- A detailed list of the Nominee’s professional achievements to date and promise for the future (refer to Adjudication Criteria at EDA website for complete list)
- Two letters of commendation. One from the Nominee’s current employer; one from an economic development colleague
- Any other information that may be relevant
- A digital photo of the Nominee that can be used during the presentation ceremony
