2024 Economic Development Week May 6 -10 

Showcasing the importance of economic development in your community.

Economic development is the foundational work that helps to create jobs, support businesses, and improve the quality of life in communities large and small. 

We encourage all Alberta municipalities to formally recognize and amplify economic development efforts in our province by proclaiming "May 6-10 as Economic Development Week.

PROCLAIM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WEEK

The proclamation shows your commitment to economic development and strengthens support for the work of economic development staff.

We encourage communities to:

  • Customize the 2024 Sample Resolution
  • Have your Council/Mayor officially proclaim the week in your community and sign the resolution
  • Share the proclamation with local media, and on your social media pages, and tag us! 
  • Email admin@edaalberta.ca to have it added to the EDA website
