Community Visits

From November 13 to December 6, 2013. The EDRP team, co-led by Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) and the British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) along with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) took a team of economic development professionals to 10 Alberta Communities that were impacted by the June 2013 flood. The teams worked with a lead in each community to organize meet and greet sessions, focus groups and business interviews. All of the feedback has been incorporated into a report with recommendations to help them better position their communities for the short and long term.

"I am grateful to have had opportunity to engage in the candid, thought provoking dialogue shared through this process. I am happy to take away some valuable insight I can apply moving forward in our economic planning activities. The information roll-up reports will be anticipated with positive regard and I appreciate the work and effort you will put towards it."
